If you've ever been called wise before perhaps you have the gift of words of wisdom. Thats the next spiritual gift and the first of the list found in 1 Corinthians 12. Wisdom meaning knowing how to apply knowledge.
Some people in the Bible who had this gift were Solomon, Joseph, Daniel, Moses, Joshua, Job, and Paul.
This is one gift that is confused with some other gifts. If you are wise it means you know how to apply things you hear to your life and others lives. It is different from the gift knowledge which we will talk about next week. If you are wise you can hear something like a fact or truth and you can interpret it.
People who have this gift usually are good at teaching or explaining the word of God. They may or may not have the charisma, or knowledge how, to teach it but they can explain it in a way others can understand it. The Bible has many verses and passages that use metaphors or talk to those back in Bible times. People who have wisdom are able to tell what the people in the Bible were saying and how it applies to our lives.
So, do you or anyone you know have the gift of wisdom? How can you try to apply God's word to your life daily?
